Exercise 1: Introduction and Vormator Challenge
4.4.19 (Week 1)
The class started with Mr Hafiz and Mr Redzwan introducing themselves as our two main lecturers for this semester. He shared the MIB (module information booklet) in google classroom where we entered the code to be in that classroom. We then proceeded with our first exercise called the Vormator Challenge. Mr Hafiz taught us how to trace the 8 Vormator shapes using the pen tool in Illustrator. Moreover, we had to create a character based on these rules:
- Only use the 8 shapes given
- Only use 3 colours maximum
- No distortion of the shapes
- Scaling proportionally, rotating and flipping is allowed

11.4.19 (Week 2)
For this week's class, Mr Redzwan asked us to bring 3 grey markers and an artline 0.4 pen because we were going to use them to draw shapes from different perspectives. He started the class by drawing cubes at different angles, he then told us to draw out objects that we could see in front of us like a mouse, bottle or even the monitor from different angles. After that, he taught us about shadow rendering; where we began using the 3 grey markers to shade. The 3 markers were used to teach us to understand how light sources shine on different objects from different directions.

Mr Redzwan gave us another exercise to do which was to draw a robot from the reference picture he gave and shade where we taught the light source was coming from; either could be really bright to having no light source.

Exercise 3: Adding shadows (Pear & skull pear)
18.4.19 (Week 3)
Mr Hafiz taught us how to add shadows onto a pear using Adobe Illustrator. We then had to add shadows onto our Vormator character.

Exercise 4: Analog Drawing - Facial expressions
25.4.19 (Week 4)
Today's class was about drawing circles/strokes and adding facial expressions to them which was taught by Mr Redzwan. We started by drawing different facial expressions with the grey marker and outlining the strokes with an Artline 0.4 black pen to make it look more detailed and prominent. Moreover, we use the stroke technique to differentiate the thick or thin lines in a drawing.

Exercise 5: Went to Fabspace in KL
2.5.19 (Week 5)
We learned about laser printing at Fabspace in Isetan, Lot 10.
Exercise 6: Custom Brushes / Lines
9.5.19 (Week 6)
Mr Hafiz thought us how to make custom brushes using Adobe Photoshop. We had to take an image of a watercolour splattered ink and edit it to make it into a brush. First, we had to make the image of the splattered ink black and white and then turn it into a brush. We also used tablets to draw on with our created brush.

Exercise 7: Drawing with lines manually and digitally / Storyboard
17.5.19 (Week 7)
Today's class began with Mr Redzwan showing us how to draw three main different types of lines as a "warm-up exercise". He then proceeded to ask us to draw these pictures from google classroom:

We then had a break to borrow our tablets from campus central (only those who didn't have a tablet). After we got back Mr Hafiz was already there. He then asked us if our tablets were functioning properly; all of us responded with a yes and he began teaching us how to digitally draw lines using this picture of a pear:
