PROJECT 1
Exercise 1: Introduction and Vormator Challenge
4.4.19 (Week 1)
The class started with Mr Hafiz and Mr Redzwan introducing themselves as our two main lecturers for this semester. He shared the MIB (module information booklet) in google classroom where we entered the code to be in that classroom. We then proceeded with our first exercise called the Vormator Challenge. Mr Hafiz taught us how to trace the 8 Vormator shapes using the pen tool in Illustrator. Moreover, we had to create a character based on these rules:
- Only use the 8 shapes given
- Only use 3 colours maximum
- No distortion of the shapes
- Scaling proportionally, rotating and flipping is allowed
Week 3 (11.4.19)
Mr Hafiz taught us how to add shadows onto a pear using Adobe Illustrator. We then had to add shadows onto our Vormator character.

Week 5 (2.5.19)
Instead of having our usual lecture we went to a store called Fabspace in Isetan, Lot 10. The store provides various types of printing services which include embroidery, laser cutting, keychain, UV printing on acrylic, etc. Since it was just a demonstration day we had to go comeback again and get our character printed. Here is the front and back view of my UV printing on acrylic character.
