REFLECTION
Experience
At the start of the semester, I felt that I would do better than I did in the module Typography even though I was unsure of what was yet to come. Throughout the whole module, even though it was stressful I feel like I handled it better than in the first semester because now I know how to maintain an e-portfolio and do the work at the same time. Other than that, project 1 was the hardest for me to understand and complete because I didn't know what to design that represented designers or troublemakers; I even brought my laptop to Singapore to design my artwork and I was really glad that my designed got approved by Mr Vinod in time for me to make the collaterals in project 2. To summarise my experience overall I would say that I learned a lot in Advanced Typography thanks to Mr Vinod and Mr Shamsul for giving me the feedback that I needed to put me on the correct path and that The Troublemakers Manifesto was a good insight to have.
Observations
I observed that I can be quite critical of myself. Whenever my friends would look at the designs I made they would give good comments but when I look at it I'll feel like I need to do more. However, I will try to tell myself that I did the best that I can give to submit the assignments on time. I also noticed that in this module the class was less tense than last time, it feels like since we knew the basics in Typography we were allowed to make our own choices more freely in away.
Findings
I found that this module was the module that everyone did in other classes which I found amusing because I did that too. Moreover, the challenges that were given to us were harder but in a different way and I'm glad that all of us managed to pull through eventually. In general, I'm really glad to be able to experience both of the typography modules because it made me look at type differently, it has also helped me work towards what I was lacking of and what I was good at.
